Week 19: Mango
Hayden is covered in Vernix caseosa, a greasy white substance made of lanugo, oil and dead skin cells (gross). This shields him from the amniotic fluid. (Picture yourself after a nine-month bath, and the need for protection makes sense.) He'll probably still be covered in a little of the vernix at birth, poor kid. That should gross his dad out :) Not too much going on this week.
My belly is HUGE.
