Okay, since I can't really talk about this openly, especially in blog land, because you never really know who is going to get a hold of information or how it will be interpreted and twisted to fit any agenda. I must get this off my chest though, because really, it's seriously pissing me off, and really really this is the United States and the last time I checked free speech was still my constitutional right.
So let's say you play sports. Basketball. That will work. Okay, so you're a player on the team. You have a successful record of three pointers for the short time you've been playing with that team. But you have a very bad attitude, and you think that everytime you make a mistake it's your team mates fault, or why not blame the coach...because that coach is after all calling the shots, right? Even if you only absorb a portion of what the coach says because you have this filter that blots out anything you don't think should pertain to you, and you kind of bounce the ball to your own little beat, call your own plays, and just in general refuse to play the game like you practiced it or how it's meant to be played. You don't follow the rules, and when a ref calls you out, you find a new way to pull the same bullshit a different way until they catch you again. The coach is privy to your game though, and gets tired of your piss poor attitude and viral affect on the game and calls you out on it and says "Look, you're going to play by the rules of the game, or you're not going to play". So you formulate some pretty ugly things to take the coach down with the athletic department, and the rest of your team. But your coach has a very solid track record. Much longer than yours...and the rest of the team, and the athletic department doesn't buy into your bogus story. So to alleviate the strain on the coach and hopefully get you back to actually playing the game rather than sitting on the bench infecting everyone with bad sportsmanship, the athletic department decides your going to play on the other team for the other coach that plays in rotation with your team. That team works out in the same gym your old team works out in, and occassionally you train together and the coaches work with one another...when one isn't coaching, the other one takes over. Despite the situation, your old coach takes control in the situations of the entirety of both teams when it's necessary, even though you have a new coach overall. You are supposed to practice and play in games, no matter who is coaching. But, true to you...you basically decide that you are going to only play the game when YOUR coach is coaching you. Otherwise you show up and be present so you can keep playing the game without being reprimanded by your new coach for not showing up, but the entire time both teams are playing and practicing under your old coach, you sit on the bench and try to put the basketball up your nose and count how many times you can roll your eyes in a one hour time period. Thankfully this only happens once a week. UNTIL the dreaded day that your coach is out of commission for a few days and it's all in the control of your old coach. The old coach has to communicate with you, but only does so when it's necessary. How dare the old coach talk to you. SO you come in to practice one day with a sign hanging around your neck that says "Old coach- stop talking to me. I am not going to tell you again. If you have any questions, talk to my new coach".
Disgusting. Ya know what...JUST PLAY THE DAMN GAME! Since when did not liking "the coach" or not liking what "the coach" has to say make it a fucking option to do what you want? I don't know about you all, but in my world...TOO FUCKING BAD! If you want to be on the team and play the damn game, you buck up and do what the coach says...no matter who the fucking coach is. Still refusing...ya know....maybe it's time to find a new team...or better yet...should you have the option? Maybe it's time for your coach to kick your ass off the team! I think it was time a LONG time ago!
