Week 13: Peach

Baby is about the size of a fat little peach this week. Maybe the reason for my exacerbated affection for nectarines all the sudden ( why is it always about food with me?????)
The fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords... savor this, their non-functional phase. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with a head now only one third the size of the body. Intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy. (Much more convenient.) Another thing...if this kid is only the size of a peach, why am I roughly the size of a baby elephant?
