I appreciate the suggestions for "sites" to check out to buy crib bedding, but SERIOUSLY...I've already purchased. I'm a little irritated by being solicited by a particular site (twice) on my own blog, that's meant for my friends, my family, and sheer entertainment for other expecting parents, or want to be expecting parents, whom I network with for enjoyment....I mean really...buy some Adwords or something....or at least make enough of an investment in your business to have an ebay store...or here is an even better idea...maybe drop your prices a bit so you don't have to go searching for a particular demographic on Blogger, that "might" just be on the market. Obviously you need the business. In this economy, with those prices for something that is a "luxury item" GOOD LUCK! Crib bedding is not rocket science, I hadn't even threaded a machine before this weekend and I sat down and made a crib sheet, and half of a skirt....600 bucks...ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Material max may cost 150.00, and if you're time is that valuable than maybe you're in the wrong business.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD....to take the time to make a comment on my blog and solicit me to visit your site after I'VE ALREADY PURCHASED seems like a monster waste of time, and by the way, it didn't work....because if you really had taken the time to notice, blog solicitors.....I was posting about the set I BOUGHT! That's like trying to sell dinner to someone that's leaving the restaurant with a full belly.
So "mcmillan" and "Ross", you are so right...it is a great blog...and if you'd actually taken the time to read it, rather than drop by only to solicit me to buy 600.00 custom made crib bedding you would have realized the reason why I was attempting to make my own is I don't believe in throwing away hard earned cash on something I can do myself, and put it in the pocket of someone that is quite obviously ripping expecting mothers off by charging 5X over and above the cost of materials to make "custom bedding". Especially when I specifically discussed the fact that I didn't feel like paying beaucoup bucks for something my precious little wonderful is going to poop and puke all over.
I'm not a brain surgeon or anything, but maybe a better marketing strategy for your business, rather than littering my ( and god knows how many other expecting mother's) blog with solicitation would be to open up a store front and buy some yellowpages or something? I dunno sounds like a better strategy to me. Good luck with that "business" of yours.
